Jim and Betsy joined the Road Scholar group for a bike trek through the Everglades, then added another week to continue exploring the Big Cypress area and visit Jim’s cousin in Punta Gorda and an old friend in Cape Canaveral. While we were enjoying beautiful warm days in February in Florida, our daughter Kelsey was back home in Pennsylvania where there was a snowstorm followed by an ice storm that took out the power for five days. Sorry Kelsey!
What fun we had biking by alligators and trudging through waist-high water at Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress swamp. We met some new friends from all over the country, renewed some old friendships, and came back with some great nature photos.
