The Pangolin photo boats were perfect for photographers. The shallow hulled boats had 360 rotational seats and gimbal mounts for cameras, allowing us to easily rotate, raise or lower the camera to get the shot.
We really enjoyed photographing wildlife from the water. We had access to many animals and could get very close to hippos, crocodiles, and quite a variety of African birds including the African fish eagle, anhinga, bee-eater, lilac breasted roller and hornbill. We witnessed hippos charging one another, and we were a bit nervous when our boat got stuck in seaweed next to a crocodile. Elephants waded past us as they returned to land after cooling off in the water next to us. Unbeatable for the ultimate African safari experience.
