Our friends from the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association enjoyed a spectacular warm day in early November on the Rockaway River in New Jersey. The autumn leaves were at peak color, and the paddle was a serene sojourn up-river with our friends in their beautiful wooden canoes. We enjoyed a picnic stop with hot tea and grilled hot dogs before heading back down to our starting point at a small park.
