Both Jim and Betsy have fond childhood memories of lazy summer afternoons spent in a canoe. And once Jim started building and restoring wooden canoes, we have spent many hours paddling different rivers and lakes. We taught our children, Kelsey and Alex how to handle a canoe at a young age, and many of our family vacations included some time to paddle. Each year, we truly enjoy meeting up with our canoe friends from around North America at the annual Wooden Canoe Assembly, hosted by the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association.
