One of our favorite getaway places is Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine. For outdoor enthusiasts, it offers a bit of everything. Pristine lakes for canoeing, picturesque carriage paths for biking, and some of the most beautiful hikes up mountains and through forests that we’ve ever been on.
For photographers, there is an unending kaleidoscope of photo opportunities. We have been to this area many times and have enjoyed photographing the natural beauty of the water, trees and rocks. We have explored less visited parts and found many wonderful hidden gems to photograph. There are many places of interest along the main drive within the park, as well as nearby natural attractions outside the park.
